Kingfisher Theatre started up when I left Touchstone for a period–1990 to 2003–and was drawn to the challenge of creating original dramatic work that was an expression of an exploration of ”transcendence”. In other words, a move towards ceremony and ritual.
One thing became clear to me over the years of that creative journey: there is no definite line between the secular and the sacred. I returned to Touchstone, more happy to be at home than ever. Still, this work always calls me, and has led to several plays: The Kingfisher’s Wing, the story of Badi; Dragons of Rizvania; Walden; and presently in progress, Odysseus–all are available for touring engagements.
